In the wake of black friday, U.S poker players seem to think they do not have any options to play online poker. Truth of the matter is, although they do not have the endless choices they once had, with a little exploration they will find a couple good places to play. I will try to compose a list of all of them later today and post it up.

Welcome to Walmart, would you like a smiley sticker? LOL
I am not exactly an odds maker (although, I am pretty decent at math!) I am stuck on trying to figure out what the odds are that Full Tilt Poker Security pays me back the $8k+ they took from me. The odds were already an almost definite zero, but with those clowns now unemployed and/or now greeting at Wal-Mart I cannot for the life of me figure out how to define ZERO as any more than ZERO!
Thats what you get! See, maybe all those rake machines you guys referred to as “Poker Bot” weren’t so bad after all!
The Famous Poker Bot Returns to the Market
After several success stories and several requests to support some updates, we have decided to further release the famous 25NL. No guarantees are made to results but those that have taken the time to find a niche have done well. The graph below was recently produced by member Bluesmaster at a mix of 10-25 and 50NL when optimal table conditions were found.
This profile has definitely been around, but those who have searched for optimal tables and their own niche to use it, have done well. The community updates are bound to help some as well.

and the 80K journal from DUECE

Profile will now be sold as text and be updated as need in a “doodle thread” style fashion.

With the recent developments with PokerStars, Full Tilt and Ultimate Bet and the United States government, everyone seems to have a gloom attitude about it. “Whats next”, “Are there going to be any rooms for the U.S. players” and “Is this going to be the end of online poker?” Whats next = nothing. Are there going to be rooms = there already is. End of poker = not even slightly. For those that have been around as long as I have (I didn’t say as old as I am!) can remember thinking it was the end of the world when Party Poker pulled the plug on the U.S. It wasn’t the end though, it simply spawned what was Stars and Tilt. So while all of you are sulking, I am celebrating!

Yes Sir, Party Time!
Why am I celebrating? For years we have purposely avoided using poker bots at Poker Stars, knowing their stance on the poker bot. Now with the cucurrent sitution though, we have a huge number of displaced poker players that are going to need a place to play.
Where will all the United States Players Play?
Well, I can tell you where they won’t be playing
- Party Poker
- Poker Stars
- Full Tilt
- Ultimate Bet
- Absolute
- Ipoker
That means that there newest home is likley going to be the same home as me and my poker bot (I call him Herb). and we can’t even explain how happy we are to have them as guests!
So no we still aren’t botting at Poker Stars, but now the massive crowd we wanted to mingle with is no longer there either. They will end up somewhere though and odds say ( yeah I am a betting man) that it will be at a place that Herb is welcome.
When it comes to my poker bot career, I never believed all the hype in a bots place in MTT’s. I always had the thought that other botters had simply gotten lucky every once in a while and they kept them loyal to them. At the direction of Doomtrain, however I was convinced that a pokerbot could consistiently win in the mid-range MTT’s. I think the graph above will show you, HE WAS RIGHT. The talks for this actually took place over several strategy discussions between doom and I about manual strategy. I am an old school player and doom had some great insights to holes in my own game. He was convincing enough to make me believe that if I was ever going to partner with the right person to write the perfect MTT poker bot, he was the one.
Event Horizon is now a couple months in the making and is ready to be released. It will be available here and at the shanky forum later today or tomorrow. We designed this to play in the $10-20 MTT’s but all of our testing was done between $3-10 simply because of availability. I have personally seen the bot play as high as $215 entry and wouldn’t blink an eye doing it again.
Save your questions once the sales have begun. This was more of a confessional to those who have preached MTT’s to me in the past.
Any talk I have with any new prospective poker bot buyer is almost certain to turn to the discussion of which rooms are allowing us, which are supported and why not others. Let me start out by saying that Poker Stars, Full Tilt and Party Poker are not poker bot friendly nor are they supported. Not only are they not supported, but they are likely to never be.
Then conversation will turn to “So you are saying the supported rooms like you to be there, then why do we hear about people losing their accounts?” The reason the bigger rooms stated above will not tolerate pokerbots is because of their size and position on the market and actively “bot hunting” gives them really good PR. The smaller rooms do not have the luxury to turn away players.
They “welcome” pokerbots for a couple reasons.
- Increase their player base
- Increase amount of active tables allowing human players more opportunity
- And above all, collect the rake we pay
Money! Money is the reason they welcome us. The amount of rake we generate at the poker table is astonishing and if they can help it, they would rather keep us there.
Then why to people get banned?
If you think the reason someone gets their account banned is because the room cares about him running a poker bot, you are way wrong. If someone abuses the amount of play, gets spotted and reported to the poker room, it forces the room to act. Imagine the outcry from some of the larger communities, if a report was ignored. The poker rooms always run a fine line between losing a rake generating poker bot or the amount they will lose with bad publicity. If they ban one, they get to look like heroes and maintain their “We hate Poker Bots” stance!

This pile of gold does NOT instantly come with your $129 Poker Bot download!
I recently had a chat with a potential customer that got me thinking a little. Our conversation pretty much went like this.
- Poker Player: So this bot really works?
- Me : Yeah, have you tried the 200 hand trial?
- Poker Player: Yeah
- Me:…….
- Poker Player: I mean does it win. 200 hands isn’t enough for me to see if it does or not.
- Me: The trial is designed merely to show you a couple things. That it DOES work and that it is EASY to use.
- Poker Player: How much does it win? I play 100NL myself so I would expect that it is proven to win higher than that
WAIT……….WHAT?
The conversation obviously went on for much, much longer than that, but I think you can see where it headed. Listen, think about this for a second. Calculate the profits, rakeback and player points on even 50NL and ask yourself if any poker bot that can do that, is going to be for sale commercially for $129. NO WAY. Our poker bot DOES win and has been more than proven to do so. One month of play will pay for your investment and almost any MTT score will pay for it instantly. The other thing our poker bot does “out of the box” is allow a novice to change the way it plays. It doesn’t matter if you can program your remote control at home, if you are a good poker player, you WILL be able to understand the command language.
Sorry for ranting.

I often get asked “How high will the poker bot play?” and to be honest, it doesn’t matter. Those that have talked or seeked guidance from me know that I preach numbers, not limits.
Ask you self this. Would you rather have one bot playing 50NL or 20 bots playing 2NL? Both take a $2k bankroll.
Lets do the math.
-
50NL
- At 50NL and good table selection you are able to get maybe 90K hands a month using good table selection and all available sites
- Lets assume a decent win rate of 1bb/100
- Lets also assume rakeback to be a normal $500/90K
- That’s a total monthly Profit of $950 a month
-
2NL
- Now we get to throw table selection out the window and easily get 125K hands a month per account, using all sites.
- Lets assume a pretty achievable winrate of 4bb/100
- Lets also assume rakeback to be about $75/125K
- That is a total monthly profit of $165 PER ACCOUNT for a total of $3300 per MONTH
The others things we haven’t taken into consideration is the time and money that goes into development of a 50NL poker bot. Other factors that are not mentioned are variance. The variance at 50NL can cause alot of people to give up. This is obviously and over the top comparison, but the next time you ask yourself “HOW HIGH” re-think it and instead ask yourself “HOW MANY”
There are other things to take into consideration such as maintenance of 20 accounts. This will be covered in detail in an upcoming forum post in our POKER BOT FORUM
Variance in poker is inevitable and it’s important for poker players and Poker Botters to understand the importance of patience on the table and when moving up the ranks.
Over the years poker has become much tougher and players are looking for any edge they can find. Avoiding rookie mistakes will keep you in the game longer.
You don’t want to go bust early on while you’re still learning and improving because you didn’t respect the variance in poker. Bankroll management applies to a PokerBot the same as it does any regualr player
Cash Game Bankroll Management
Cash games are the worst places to tilt. I can’t tell you how many times I took a bad beat and wanted revenge against a donk who hit a runner-runner against me. Instead of reloading for my usual short-stack I would reload for the full amount hoping to take what the donk stole from me back only to lose my large stack again and repeat the cycle. In the short-term it doesn’t matter how well you play, how ahead you are on the flop because variance and luck inevitably need to be accounted for you need to have the proper bankroll to withstand these bad runs.
In cash games I’d recommend maintaining a bankroll of 50 x your preferred buy-in. This means if you’re short-stacking and playing NL2 by buying in for $1, I recommend having a bankroll of $50.
Don’t move up in stakes until you reach 50 buy-in’s of the next stake and move back down if you drop to 50 buy-in’s of the previous stake.
The above was written by EKIN, known to have fatastic advise and has created a visual Bankroll Management Spreadsheet that can be downloaded at his site.
When reading the entire story, one might think “well duh”. I made the mistake though, so i am sure that others have and/or will as well and I am just trying to help you avoid that. In our Poker Bot Forums I have outlined the entire story and where the actual mistake was made. Would Ihave been paid had I done it the right way? Who knows really, but this particular arguement could not have been made if I wouldnt have made a noob mistake. Long story short, always remember to keep your Poker Bot email seperate from Poker Rooms and Casinos. The full story can be read here.
